I enjoyed it. It was good - entertaining, suspenseful, crowd pleaser, fun characters, nice cinematography and based on a true story. It was definitely worth seeing. I think most age groups would appreciate it. You don't have to know that much about horses to appreciate it. Yes, it is another horse movie but it is well done and exciting.

I went to see it thinking the story was about Secretariat and while that was part of the story, it is really the story of Penny Tweedy. I am a fan of horse racing and I remember the Triple Crown victories and the excitement. It was the seventies and people weren't always happy about anything but everybody loved Secretariat. I though the casting in even the small parts was excellent and the movie looked gorgeous, particularly the racing scenes. Actually, go to see it for the final Belmont Stakes scene....it is worth every penny.

One of the greatest horses who ever raced; I remember watching Secretariat that year he won the Triple Crown. This is a matter of history so I hope this does not spoil it for anyone. This movie was packed full of nostalgic moments for me, sending my mind back to a kinder gentler era. The movie was emotional, bringing me to full tears as I relived Secretariat?s triumphs through film. Secretariat?s races were dynamic and exhilarating. Capturing his exploits on film was no less. The acting was great. The story was great. The movie was great. I leave you with the comments of an old gent leaving the theatre, ?The movie was clean too?.

Never written a review for a movie at Fandango or anywhere else. My qualifications are this: Just left the theater after seeing Secretariat in the last hour or so and read about the movie just now at Wikipedia. I was fascinated to learn of the controversial review of the movie where a reviewer named Andrew O'heir claimed to believe that the movie was some Nazi like propaganda piece for an America that never existed. If for some reason, you should stumble upon that review or the controversy that apparently ensued, I implore you to disregard this rubbish and take yourself and loved ones to go see it. If there is a deeper meaning in the film, it is about the triumph of the human spirit over expectations and the spiritual interplay between our species and others. Inside that rather simple paradigm- it does a beautiful job elevating the human condition in a framework of respect for the beautiful creatures that inhabit this world and our relationship with them, including our fellow man
