Quality sucks

I have a theory about movies that Brad Pitt is in. They're always good! It's as simple as that. However, Moneyball is an exception. This movie is GREAT! Based on the True story of how Billy Beane transformed the game of baseball using empirical statistics, rather than the traditional scouting methods. Not only did this movie provide historical accounting of Billy Beane's leap of faith over to Michael Lewis' strategy of picking players based on computer generated on-base percentages and slugging percentages. You will feel the loneliness of Beane as he makes his leap of faith. He is panned by the critics, and doubts his own actions. When his strategy begins to bear fruit, I was reminded that a good idea is worth the risks. A great lesson being taught in this movie, a history lesson, and great acting make this a movie that EVERYONE should go see. I'm going to get this on Blu-Ray as soon as it becomes available. Go see it!!!

One of those movies that draws you in so you do not want to leave your seat...get your popcorn first! Warm, funny, interesting - def exceeded my expectations. Really well acted too. Highly recommend it for anyone.

A good, but not classic baseball movie. Enjoyed the story, but the concept at times didn't translate well.

I thought it was a good movie and would recommend it for anyone to watch. It wasn't the best movie I've seen but it was up there. A good drama to watch. Ironically, the next morning after watching the movie there was an interview on CNN with Michael Lewis, the author of the non-fiction best seller Moneyball and he was describing how the story really was the changing of picking players from how they looked, 6'2, good looking athletics shaped men to picking players based on their actual stats... really a very good movie. It really makes you think about this theory across the board.. In business, at schools, everywhere. Imagine that. They did a great job casting the actors that played in this film. Brad Pitt did an amazing job and Peter Brand (Jonah Hill) is an AMAZING actor!! He was a perfect cast for this character.
