Storyline:
Ishaan Awasthi is an eight-year-old whose world is filled with wonders that no one else seems to appreciate; colours, fish, dogs and kites are just not important in the world of adults, who are much more interested in things like homework, marks and neatness. And Ishaan just cannot seem to get anything right in class. When he gets into far more trouble than his parents can handle, he is packed off to a boarding school to 'be disciplined'. Things are no different at his new school, and Ishaan has to contend with the added trauma of separation from his family. One day a new art teacher bursts onto the scene, Ram Shankar Nikumbh, who infects the students with joy and optimism. He breaks all the rules of 'how things are done' by asking them to think, dream and imagine, and all the children respond with enthusiasm, all except Ishaan. Nikumbh soon realizes that Ishaan is very unhappy...

Most important these people have a vision which makes them class apart from current breed of film makers who don't have a single original idea. Amazing performance and total dedication from each and every single member of the crew can only result in such an outstanding work of art. But indeed Aamir needs praise for his commitment to his vision and presenting it in such a beautiful way. Kudos to the kid acting as well specially Ishaan Awasthi. Well done. Thanks for making our lives richer by this visual experience.

Its one of the best scripted and directed movies my wife and I have seen! A must see for all audiences!

In the beginning it's bit slow but picks up gradually. I liked it as the moral of the story is to find issues around your kids rather than over reacting. Overall very good movie.

Aamir is at his best (as usual). I don't write reviews usually but after watching this movie, I wold definitely reccommend every parent to go and watch this movie.
