Excellent acting with fictional dialogue. Historical fiction at its best Clearly this film is an adaptation of what a modern day screenwriter visualizes the way it might have been. He missed the mark quite a bit, but this is still an excellently acted film. I have no doubt it will be the political push of the Oscars.

I couldn't wait to see that movie and I have absolutely no regrets! The acting was terrific coupled with a solid story and happy ending. Bradley Cooper is great as well as Robert De Niro, Jennifer Lawrence and Jackie Weaver. I can see some Oscar nominations especially for Cooper, Lawrence and De Niro. Well, this movie definitely shows off Cooper's versatility and the fact that he shouldn't be confined in comedies ala Hangover. Special shout-out to Chris Tucker who has a couple of hilarious scenes and funny lines. Overall, great movie.

Silver Linings Playbook was well played and well directed. Initially I wasn't sure I wanted to enter the world of a bi-polar man--but it was skillfully done and ended up being well worthwhile.

I went to see this last night in NY not really knowing what to expect. I read a few things previously, then saw Bradley Cooper doing a tv promo and decided to definitely check it out. I loved it and thought it was funny and quirky and heartfelt and different. It made me feel like I was seeing something more unique than the usual movie fare, and I go to the movies often. The cast was great - I kind of fell in love with Bradley Cooper (he was really good in this role) and it was nice to see Jennifer Lawrence in something completely different after seeing her in "Hunger Games." Robert DeNiro was also very good, I liked seeing a more vulnerable side of him in the "dad" role. I really wish Chris Tucker was used more, he is funny and his role was too limited to me. The entire supporting cast shined in the group scenes especially. I actually may go see this again next week. It really stayed with me for some reason, I think because it showed flawed people in all their beautiful glory.

.The character development in this movie was spot on. As a Philly native, they nailed the sports fever inherited in the Eagles fan. While one could enjoy this movie solely as a romantic comedy to limit it to that genre would do the characters a disservice. I completely enjoyed watching the Italian-American family dynamics unfold. This is not just another chick flick. It is a relatable story about parental-child dynamics, family and how one deals with mental health issues in everyday life. After all, how many parents in today?s America have had an adult child move back home to help them ?Get on their feet." CHARMIMG and HEARTWARMING... I can't wait to see this again... and I can't say that about many movies.
