Storyline:
Thousands of years ago, a race of beings known as Dark Elves tried to send the universe into darkness by using a weapon known as the Aether. Warriors from Asgard stop them but their leader Malekith escapes to wait for another opportunity. The warriors find the Aether and since it cannot be destroyed, they try to hide it. In the present day, Jane Foster awaits the return of Thor although it has been two years since they last saw once another. In the meantime, Thor has been trying to bring peace to the nine realms. Jane discovers an anomaly similar to the one that brought Thor to Earth. She goes to investigate, finds a wormhole, and is sucked into it. Back on Asgard, Thor wishes to return to Earth but his father, Odin refuses to let him. Thor learns from Heimdall, who can see into all of the realms, that Jane disappeared. Where to start? THOR: THE DARK WORLD was simply incredible. I would even go as far to say that it topped The Avengers...but maybe that is just because THOR is my favorite of the Avengers. =) THOR: THE DARK WORLD picks up right where THE AVENGERS left off and the action, humor and heart of the the film keep you glued to the screen better than any film I have seen in a while! Easily the best film in MARVEL's CINEMATIC UNIVERSE so far! 10 out of 10! 100% I cannot recommend THOR: THE DARK WORLD any higher! If you are a THOR fan or just love the MARVEL films, you do not want to miss this one! Definitely seeing it again! =)

I love both Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston who made a perfect team in this thoroughly entertaining sequel. There is plenty of great action from the God Of Thunder, Lady Sif and the warriers three, as expected. There is also a richer exploration of Asgard and Thor's family. My favorite thing about this movie is the humor. Tom Hiddleston makes the most of every scene as Loki, Thor's mischievous brother. When the two are forced to work together they end up bickering like every set of estranged brothers. These scenes are exceptional. Both men get funny lines and the skill of these two great actors make it even more entertaining.
All around this movie is a fabulous addition to the Marvel Avengers series.
