Anna, a fearless optimist, sets off on an epic journey - teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven - to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom. From the outside Anna's sister, Elsa looks poised, regal and reserved, but in reality, she lives in fear as she wrestles with a mighty secret-she was born with the power to create ice and snow. It's a beautiful ability, but also extremely dangerous. Haunted by the moment her magic nearly killed her younger sister Anna, Elsa has isolated herself, spending every waking minute trying to suppress her growing powers. Her mounting emotions trigger the magic, accidentally setting off an eternal winter that she can't stop. She fears she's becoming a monster and that no one, not even her sister, can help her.
Good movie but who wants to see HUGE CAPTIONS in the beginning of the movie, Property of Disney, Do Not Duplicate. That takes away from the movie and I do not want to see those annoying captions when I am watching a movie. This is posted as HQ but should be LQ since those HUGE captions are there. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS SITE LATELY?
Great movie and the music was fantastic. A little predictable but still good and funny.
If you are a fan of bad community musical theatre then you'll love Frozen. My theory is that the producers at Disney gave this project to their summer interns to write the dialogue and score the music. After 75 years of movie magic, with grammys and oscars too numerous to count, Disney took what could have potentially been another family classic and gave up. Did the 4 year old love it? Sure! The 9 year old gave it a "so-so" and the adults found it insufferable. Dialogue was poorly written, peppered with tween vernacular, song lyrics and score painful, storyline disjointed and unengaging. After so many projects of pure perfection, like "Up"- I can't be blamed for having high expectations. Frozen should have stayed in the Freezer.
