Born in 1977 in the city of Johannesburg in South Africa. Darron first studied a degree in Quantity Surveying at the Cape Technikon in Cape Town. After attaining his qualification, his passion for film and stage led him to quit his job and return to his studies, only this time, to be trained as an actor. He currently lives and works out of Cape Town. 29 June 2007.

Was a competitive gymnast for eleven years.Studied drama alongside his brother, Tyrel Meyer, who is four and a half years his junior.Was encouraged by South African actor and filmmaker, Reghardt van den Bergh, to pursue acting after seeing him in a play that Darron wrote and directed.Has a brother, Tyrel Meyer, who is also an actor.Grew up wanting to be a writer after being introduced to the writings of C.S Lewis and J.R.R Tolkien by his grandmother.Lived in Benoni until he was 10 years old, the same home town as that of Charlize Theron.Could sit on a horse before he could walk. His father was a well-known South African show jumper.Coached and judged Gymnastics after he quit competing in the sport.Worked on construction sites during his studies before quitting to become an actor.Has a degree in Quantity Surveying.
