After attending Georgia Southern University, as an outstanding student athlete, cheerleader and gymnastics coach, Rusty Joiner was discovered in Atlanta where he soon became one of the most sought after models in the industry. He then spent the next few years steadily working in Milan, Paris and South America landing exclusive campaigns for Abercrombie and Fitch, Prada, American Eagle, Levi's, Rips Underwear, Jockey, Naya Spring Water and PowerAde just to name a few.In 1997, Joiner gained international recognition and fame when he signed a two-year exclusive deal as the official Structure underwear model and spokesman, making guest appearances on such shows as Extra, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, E! News Daily and The View.Following the success of the Structure campaign, Joiner quickly made the transition from modeling to acting with a variety of film roles including the feature Dodgeball (with Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn) and Resident Evil: Extinction (with Milla Jovovich), as well as recent starring roles in director Ulli Lommel's "Absolute Evil" and the independent feature " Last Ounce Of Courage" - both slated for release in 2009.Along with guest starring roles on The Closer, Close To Home, Bones, CSI: Miami, ER, Boston Public, Dr. Vegas, and Spin City, as well as his first pilot Commuters (for CBS) co-starring with David Arquette, Joiner's impressive list of commercial campaigns include Suzuki, Excedrin, Budweiser, GE, Acura, Coors Light, Coca-Cola, MCI, Pepsi, Honda and Taco Bell.As the national spokesperson for Men's Fitness Magazine's "Fat To Fit Tour," along with eleven covers of the magazine to his credit, Joiner has now become the most recognizable face in the fitness industry within the past ten years.Joiner has been shot by such legendary photographers as Greg Gorman, Bruce Weber, Harry Langdon and David LaChapelle and has graced the pages of Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, DNA, Cosmopolitan, Vogue Homme in addition to numerous covers of Men's Health, Physical and Muscle Media.
