Iron Man 2 was a great movie. The all-star cast that fills Iron Man 2 does a great job at their roles. Also with the comedy that is always brought by Downey Jr., it makes this movie all the more enjoyable. Although, I do not think Iron Man 2 surpasses Iron Man one, but its not this movie's fault. Only reasons it cannot surpass Iron Man, was because it was the first one and we all loved watching something that was new to us then. Now that this is the second one, that surprise of what was new to us then is old to us now. ANYWAY, Iron Man 2 is just as GREAT as Iron Man 2 was. It had a lot of action packed greatness, and the story was great as well. The villain in the movie was very cool and enjoyable to watch as well. If anyone passes up on seeing this movie, they would be making a grave mistake. ANYONE will enjoy this one. Its just that good of an summer blockbuster action flick. GREAT MOVIE, go see it!

I watched an advanced screening and this is an excellent followup. There's a good dose of action and comedy, with a mix of drama and pinch of suspense. Although the film is not 100% faithful to the comics - what film is really - it still does a solid execution. Robert Downey Jr. does a great reprise with flamboyant narcissism. Mickey Rourke is a vicious villain, but doesn't get much playtime. Samuel L. Jackson gets some camera time, especially with the overarching push towards forming the Avengers. Don Cheadle does an excellent job with continuing where Terrance Howard left off. There's plenty of tongue-in-cheek humor mixed with the regular comedy. Jon Favreau has a humorous fight scene too. The film moves keeping a steady pace of the story. Two recommendations. First, make sure you watch this with an empty bladder, since there are no lulls in the film. Second, make sure to stay even after the credits, since there's an extra scene.

There was a lot of hype surrounding the release of iron Man 2 and, as an avid Comic Book Fan, I had some pretty high expectations of this movie as well. I must say that I was not disappointed. This film was exceptional in every way, from the action scenes, the humorous dialog and the throw-ins to other popular Marvel Characters. I was happy to see the War Machine suit as well as the Mark IV, and Mark V suits. Downey Jr. was brilliant in this film and Don Cheadle played a great Rhodie. The film is equally suitable for children and adults, which is important to me as I have three children. I will be watching this movie again and again.

Iron Man was done folowing the basic comic book story lines.It was done well with great action and special effects. It didn't have the impact of the original which I considered to be a first rate film, probably the best of the comic book genre I had seen so far, with Robert Downey creating a Tony Stark that quite frankly made the movie a blockbuster. The sequel was quite frankly a sequel, and the Tony Stark character became more of a buffoon, emotionally stunted lacking real development rather than the responsible super hero Stan Lee created. It was this image that made Iron Man a super hero, a leader, despite not having any real super powers. It was not the suit that made him. Mr. Downey captured that quality in the first movie and is suprisingly lacking in the second. Still performances were adequate, humour trite and predictable, and action superb. Its a don't miss for comic book afficiaonados and very entertaining either way. Kids and game freaks would be captivated.
