Storyline:
The inspiring story of the team that transcended its sport and united a nation with a new feeling of hope. In 1980, the United States Ice Hockey team's coach, Herb Brooks, took a ragtag squad of college kids up against the legendary juggernaut from the Soviet Union at the Olympic Games. Let's just say, you don't have to be a hockey fan to enjoy this one. This film is a great way to illustrate what one hockey game means to millions of Americans. Kurt Russell delivers a brilliant performance and makes you feel apart of the film. The tension in this movie is simply moving. Tears form as you watch the hard work of these amazing men play the game they love-hockey. At one point, you want to jump off the couch and rejoice in the epic battle these men take part of. The fact that this is based off of a true story gives you even more satisfaction. You surely will not be disappointed.
