Storyline:
Stu is getting married. Along with Doug, Phil, and his soon-to-be brother-in-law Teddy, he regretfully invites Alan to Thailand for the wedding. After a quiet night on the beach with a beer and toasting marshmallows by the camp fire, Stu, Alan and Phil wake up in a seedy apartment in Bangkok. Doug is back at the resort, but Teddy is missing, there's a monkey with a severed finger, Alan's head is shaved, Stu has a tattoo on his face, and they can't remember any of it. The wolf-pack retrace their steps through strip clubs, tattoo parlors and cocaine-dealing monkeys on the streets of Bangkok as they try and find Teddy before the wedding.

I saw The Hangover Part II last night, and I laughed just as much as I did when I saw the first one in theaters. They focused on the character of Alan a lot more - gave him a ton more one-liners, as they clearly realized that he was the breakout star of the first installment.
One thing that annoyed me - the character of Teddy. The kid was an AWFUL actor; he just awkwardly smiled every time he was on camera or delivered a line.
Other than that, definitely worth seeing in theaters; it was very funny.

It has plenty of laughs, but it is perhaps the most unoriginal sequel since Men in Black 2. Crank up the raunch, lose both the surprise and most of the heart, and you're left with some talented comedians pulling off some pretty funny gags, and that's about it. If you enjoyed the first, the second gives you (literally) more of the same. If you didn't, this one neither rises above the latter nor strays an inch to either side.

While I laughed and enjoyed myself during the movie a lot - hours after the movie, I realized I had just watched the original set in Bangkok rather than Vegas - and Vegas was better.

I know it's hard going into this movie not expecting much, particularly considering the success of part 1 and the hype that preceded this one, but if you can put those aside you can expect a fun ride. My only complaint is that they deliberately seem to be aiming for shock value this time, so some things seem a little over the top. Other than that, it's a hit.
