Surprisingly funny & entertaining!!! Loved it! It's not for children or anyone mildly prudish-but the audience in the Village in NYC had a hilarious laugh out loud experience with some applause at the end.

Hesher was a dark chocolate Dramady that tells the tale of a family whose been ripped apart by tragedy and is in desperate need to be re glued back together in the most gnarly way possible. I believe this was one of Joseph Gordon Levitt?s best films yet since he made the transition from television to film. I also feel like Rain Wilson gave a phenomenal performance and has totally redeemed himself (in my opinion) for being in The Rocker. Natalie Portman also gave a stand up performance as always, but I was disappointed that this wasn?t the film in which she refrains from crying. newcomer Devin Brochu who played TJ has the potential to be the next Haley Joel Osment if he plays his cards right and stays away from the hash as he gets older. If you enjoyed The Chumscrubber, Thumbsucker, and Spinal Tap then you?ll probably enjoy Hesher and whip-its.

I love JGL so that's a bonus. I "think" I liked it but it was very quirky and a bit morose. Something different.

My husband and I both loved this movie. It was incredible. I laughed and I cried, and it had a great ending. I highly recommend it! The acting was great and it was well written. It is a very good story.
