I liked Ocean's Eleven a lot. Ocean's Twelve was rather confusing, but still okay. But Ocean's Thirteen I LOVED! Just saw it tonight at Midnight opening show. AWESOME! Great cast....even better than previous films in the series. Excellent story line. Funny. Very Exciting. Great movie. I'd pay to go see it again. Loved it.

The Ocean gang is here for a third time and the cinematic trilogy is in the books. Comparing Oceans Thirteen to the previous two films, Oceans Twelve was slightly less exciting than the first, and this third movie is even less exciting. Letting this third film stand alone, it is a fun, enjoyable heist movie. Oceans Thirteen is slow in the early going, with the re-establishment of familiar characters, introduction of new characters (Al Pacino as Willie Bank and Ellen Barkin as Abigail Sponder), and the formation of the plan for another heist. The setting has returned to Las Vegas, where the night lights and skyline views are treats on the eyes. Although predictable and expected, the plot picks up when the ball gets rolling once everyone is inside Bank's casino hotel. We're rewarded with subtle humor and a bit of excitement when everything swings in the gang's favor. It's a shame it has to end so soon once all the action is over with - just when the movie gets rolling, it stops short.

It was more like 11, definitely better than 12.

Oceans 13 picks up where Oceans 12 should have. Back in Vegas setting up a scam on a billionaire casino owner and looking stylish doing it. The plots of the series of movies should not be complicated. This is a star studded having fun, not a upstart cast trying to make a break in the movie industry. Going back to the roots that made the first film a great success is exactly what they needed. The classic characters are still there and the introduction of Pacino as a hotel owner was a wonderful addition. Ellen Barkin pulls off her role just as well. A visually stunning movie that shows the audience a good time, but will not be as perfect as the first one. The absence of Julia Roberts is probably the biggest dissapointment considering the importance of her character in the first two films. Bottom line, the movie does not live quite up to the first one, but does make up for the fiasco of the second one. Worth the price of admission. Every penny of it.

After viewing Ocean's Thirteen at midnight I can confidently say that Ocean's 12 had to be a Bobby Ewing in the shower or Newhart back in Chicago moment -- a bad dream. Man it's nice to see the boys back in Vegas -- with some gorgeous inside views of the new Palazzo hotel and casino under construction. This movie is long on what made 11 such a great flick, and short on everything that made 12 suck. Welcome back boys, the party's on!
