Storyline:
Louise Harrington, a divorced, thirty-something admissions officer at Columbia University's School of Fine Arts is intelligent, pretty, and successful, yet unfulfilled. That is, until a graduate school application crosses her desk and she arranges to interview the young painter. When F. Scott Feinstadt appears, he bears an uncanny resemblance to Louise's high school boyfriend and one true love, an artist who died in a car accident twenty years earlier. Within hours of the interview, Louise and Scott have embarked on a passionately uninhibited older woman/younger man affair. But is Scott just a reminder of Louise's lost love? And is Scott just trying to wheedle his way into the Ivy League? Adding to the romantic complications is competition from Louise's best friend from high school, Missy, who shows up to claim the affections of the boy; Louise's co-dependent ex-husband Peter; her cynical mother and fresh-out-of-rehab brother.

I absolutely loved this movie... It was such a wonderful story, but ohhh so sad. I think i bawled most of the movie.. My friend and I went through a pack of tissues.
But it was also very funny... When we werent laughing we were crying..lol
. It will make you fall in love with her husband and want to take a trip to Ireland :-)
I would like to see this again in the theater and i will also purchase it as soon as its released on DVD for my collection... If you like love stories... GO SEE IT...

This movie was absolutely amazing. The characters did a fabulous job. Hillary Swank is unbelievable in this movie. Bring tons of tissue, I cried pretty much the whole movie, but I laughed plenty too! You must see this movie. It's phenomenal. :]

I took a friend of mine Danielle K. to the movie as a date. When I pre-purchased the tickets through Fandango it allowed us to avoid waiting for 30+ people in line. (Which really impressed my date) V.I.P. service! Movie was excellent! Perfect for any date!

I went to see this movie at one min. to midnight the day before it opened. I took the ristk because I figured I live in a part of Ca. where thate are a lot of snow birds and didn't think many would venture out that late to see a movie and I was right. It was great for me since I am going through chemotherapy right now and am not supposed to go to the theater. But Gerard Butler was worth the risk. I was so surprised by the performance by Lisa Kudrow she was wonderful in this movie. I must say that just as I was first to see this movie here I will probably be first to buy this movie when it comes out on dvd.
Don't believe everything the critics write, they didn't like forsest gump either and rated captain corellie's mandolin one of the best films ever made! So who can trust that? I'm not saying this movie is perfect because it does have a couple of gaps in the story line that can leave you confused for a second but it's endearing and worth watching.

this movie was the best ive ssen so far.... i loved it the plot, storyline was amazing....this movie is worth every penny.... and it makes you think just about life... i loved it n cant wait till it comes on dvd.. lol......go watch it!(with your girlfriends)
