Talk about your over-the-top, flagrant and completely shameless commercial product pandering. This feigned documentary on the subject is the literal essence of its title. This movie also begs a question akin to: Is it live or is it Memorex? In his albeit diligent effort to make a point, this time around, this documentary filmmaker became his own point. Loosely comedic and vaguely interesting, if you like commercials that last an hour and a half or so nonstop, see this movie. Otherwise, save your money and wait for it to land in the fifth window of a film's opportunity for profitability--the dollar bin. My guess is it should be there by Friday....just my opinion of course. I haven't had my Pom Wonderful today, so I could be wrong.

This dude nails it every time. I liked the super size input and now with this movie I get "sense of belonging" It so happens the brands are all "user friendly" So, here you have a choice on where to spend your hard earned dollars, wisely!

Morgan Spurlock is endlessly witty and entertaining as well as informative and cynical about the business of product placements. He develops specific instances of their corrupting effects on the contents of shows and movies. Some of his meetings with value-free executives in show business and advertising leave one wondering how these people face the mirror in the morning. Spurlock is actor, director, producer, all rolled into one and pulls it off masterfullly. His treatment in his own movie of the product placements he obtained to support it is exaggerated for effect, but still makes his points effectively.
