Storyline:
Jeff, at 30, lives in his mom's basement, unemployed, looking for signs about what to do with his life. He answers a wrong-number call for "Kevin". Later, on a bus, he sees someone wearing a jersey with "Kevin" on the back. Jeff follows him. Meanwhile, Jeff's brother, Pat, a tone-deaf salesman, upsets his wife by buying a Porsche they cannot afford; Pat runs into Jeff soon after and they see Pat's wife with another man. At her job, Jeff and Pat's mom receives e-mails from a secret admirer; she tries to figure out who it is. Misunderstandings, errors, and confrontations abound. A backup on the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway brings things to a head.

I asked myself why the call it jeff who lives at home when the whole movie is about jeff being outside and around town high on weed following signs and talking to people on deep thoughts and then I came to the conclusion that it was all about him making back home. I give it a six and half on a scale of ten due to a low budget so-so comedy with a good story and bit of love, not to mention there were times when i was questioning and/or realizing my own existance in the world is what gave me that cinimatic climax feeling throughout the movie. Go see it i bet you will like it.

There are times when one goes to a movie simply for its therapeutic, redemptive powers; times when life has delivered the unexpected curve ball; impatiently waiting for the "silver lining" to rear its healing head. "Jeff, Who Lives at Home" by the Duplass brothers (Jay and Mark "Cyrus") is quirky, compelling and in the end magical: why we enter a darkened venue and exit rejuvenated, calmed... "Jeff, Who Lives at Home" improves with each sequence due to Segal's imbuing Jeff with spiritual, almost messianic determination to follow his "signs"; culminating in the knowledge that by perpetually adhering to and acting upon your instincts, will result in contentment, completion, satisfaction, salvation of the spirit; an affirmation that goodness, decency and heroism reside in the core of the least expected... "Jeff, Who Lives at Home" annihilator of gloom, bestowing laughter; the quintessential curative for life's temporary shadows... THREE STARS!!! For full review visit peneflix.com

A couple parts were funny. I love Jason Segel and am willing to watch everything he's in, and he does a great performance, but a little too cosmic for me. Too far-fetched of a story line.

When I saw the trailer I couldn't tell if it was going to be one of those really bizarre movies or if it would be be good. To my surprise, both. Jason Segal and Ed Helms do a great job together in this film. Their dialogue seems authentic and nothing was overacted. Perfect. I also enjoyed how thought provoking this movie is, it really makes you think about your life and whether or not things happen for a reason or just coincident. It's just one of those feel good movies with an uplifting message, good acting, good directing, a good screenplay, and good editing. All around I would give this movie a 8/10 and definitely recommend checking it out. Hope this helps XD

Can't believe how much I enjoyed this movie. It absolutely sneaked up on me and grabbed my heart. So well laid out--builds slowly and surely, and left me in tears. Touching...
