If you have nothing better to do, see this movie. I kind of wish I would have stayed home and organized my silverware drawer. That would have held my interest more than this new Coen brothers movie.

The characters are interesting but totally without any narrative meaning...altogether too long. Could have been an hr and 20 minute series of vignettes..I don't recommend it.

If you admire the work of the Coen brothers, going is a no-questions-asked decision. All the elements of their dark, surreal, wildly existential universe fall in place in Llewyn Davis, and it's a sad, dreamy, beautifully filmed storytelling all the way. NOTE: if you don't like Coen brothers, you may find yourself sitting on the edge of your seat for all the wrong reasons. Although probably anyone who really appreciates the art and craft of movie-making will find it difficult not to fall under the misty, gritty grip of "Inside Llewyn Davis".

The best Cohen Brothers movie since "O BrotherÂ…", the Siblings from Minnesota once again manage to catapult us back through time to the strange days just before Dylan gave us all a new perspective. To an era between the wholesomeness of the burgeoning Folk Scene and the Beatniks who were thriving on junk and speed. With a knock-out performance by Oscar Isaac who not only embodies the life a young struggling artist, but also managed to sing and play convincingly. With a star packed supporting cast including the stalwart John Goodman, "Inside Llewyn Davis" waxes nostalgic and delivers a crispy, clear moment in time, forever preserved by the Cohen Brothers seemingly limitless imaginations.

I am baffled how this movie got such great reviews. The best I can say was that it was absorbing. However, the plot is very thin, and the movie was very slow. I would only recommend seeing it to people who want to see if they can figure out what all the hype was about.
