Ever since this movie previewed, both my son (9) and I have been wanting to see it. Needless to say, it was a great flick with constant motion, constant humor, and enough of a story line to keep us engaged. I'll probably end up buying this one as well!

Really a fantastic movie. With a voice case featuring Chris Pratt, Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks, Charlie Day, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie, and Morgan Freeman you'd expect the movie to be funny, but it's so much more than that. For one, the animation is AMAZING. It is the coolest thing to see everything from fire to smoke to dust to water rendered on the big screen in nothing but Legos. It really gives the movie a sense of realness in that you're just playing with these toys and making this all up on your head. On top of all that though, the movie ends with a pretty profound message regarding conformity, creativity, and community, and the way in which it does this is both heartfelt and really awesome. It felt like it took a couple pages out of Wreck It Ralph's book, which was also amazing. Totally great movie, and one you should absolutely see with your kids if you have them (as in, seeing it with them is a must) but if you don't, go see it anyway. It's that good.
