Storyline:
Shawn, an automotive designer, enjoys an idyllic life with his new wife Jasmine until it is interrupted by a cryptic message. The message warns of imminent danger and a curse that has afflicted his family for generations. Having lost his parents as a child, Shawn doesn't believe this unsettling revelation of his past....until strange things start to happen. Unable to explain the threats and fearing for his life, Shawn turns to Gabriel and Father Westhoff, a mysterious duo claiming to have answers. With their help, and the aid of Ali, a shackled mental patient, Shawn discovers that there is far more to this world than he ever imagined. These revelations set Shawn on a collision course with the unknown, and he alone must find the strength protect his family and confront the ancient evil that is hunting them.

This Jinn concept on the big screen is new to me, but I gotta say I was impressed with the way it was introduced and conveyed. The storyline was pretty neat,and the action/special effects were great. I definitely felt the suspense in the theater, and it satisfied. I went with a bunch of friends, and we all agreed..that this is a must see. This movie has potential to become a very unique sequel or even trilogy. It's not your stereotypical cheesy horror flick. The actors were actually pretty good!

This movie has a sweet blend of thriller, suspense and horror. I'm not a huge horror fan but I did enjoyed this movie a lot because it is not non-sense killing and chopping heads of as you see in typical horror movies. This is a very suspenseful movie that actually deals with a concept that many people believe in which makes even more interesting. The director did a great job with the sound, effects and acting. I literally did not believe the movie was over so quickly. It was so exciting and engaging all the way through. Definitely one of my favorite thriller movies.

I saw the movie in Detroit at the premier at the Detroit Institute of Art. Very well done and interesting story. Great mix of west and east mythology. That director is amazing, Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad. Can't wait for others to catch the Jinn train!!!!!!

I was fortunate to watch Jinn at the red carpet premiere. This movie is a supernatural thriller based on the articles of faith. This movie gives you an insight into the world of Jinn. This movie keeps you on your toes from the beginning until the end. The Exxodus Pictures team did an awesome job with the story, has an amazing cast featuring Faran Tahir, Ray Park and Domenic Rains. MUST GO SEE !

Saw this today based on a friend's recommendation. I generally do not write reviews, but as I was informed this was a movie with a modest budget, I was impressed by the special effects in this thriller. The acting was admirable as well. I couldn't help myself from being drawn into the storyline. Except for a few lapses in timeline, I do believe this has potential to be the sleeper movie of the season, perhaps as a future sequel as well. Job well done.
