...wow. What a breakthrough movie. Who doesn't want to put their head out the window in these times and yell "I'm mad as hell and I'm not taking it any more!" ? The only problem is-what do we do now....?Mr.Holden's goodbye monologue to Dunaway's character is among the best written in film, and particularly apt in describing television as destroying humanness. Now,of course, that medium includes all manner of 'entertainment', 'news', 'reality show's',movies.. etc etc etc. Morality wise and christianity wise, not a very healthy film in the main, but, damn it,as intelligent entertainment for it's time,it sure paints a realistic view and prediction,if you will,of what we feel as mere humans sometimes. Very impressed.
