I thought going into this movie that it'd just be another retarded stoner movie. And I was right, but it's actually shockingly funny and the LOL's don't stop for the entire movie. I'm glad i got to see an advanced screening but I'd probably pay to see it if i hadn't.

First of all, if you don't like stoner comedy then WTF are you doing going to see this anyways?!?! This movie was by far one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. I laughed uncontrolably through the entire movie. Franco plays one of the best stoners ever...he is so believable...he had to have been high for real. & of course Seth Rogan (love him) is hilarious!!! Together, they make it hard not to laugh. The idea of making a stoner action film is genius. A +++ for creativity & rollin' in the aisles funny!

I'm not generally a Seth Rogen fan, but I received advance screening tix so I went. Seth Rogen and James Franco were perfect for the roles! Everything said and done was so typical of stoners. I loved it. The first half of the movie was hilarious, then it slowed down a little but it got funny at the end. A must see for stoners everywhere!

I thought it was freaking hilarious. The first half was way funnier and faster-paced than the second half, but the second half was by no means a letdown. There were some parts that made me laugh until I cried, which is awesome. But it felt long at an hour and 45 minutes! James Franco is a revelation!

I saw the Pineapple Express at an advanced screening filmed for the MTV Movie Awards and it was great. Simply put. Every review I read so far was thinking too hard...the movie is FUNNY...that's all that matters. The premise is great and supplies hilarious, ridiculous action scenes including a 10 minute fight scene between Seth, James, and Danny McBride. Also...Seth Rogen on a cable jumping from a ledge onto Gary Cole in SLOW MOTION....priceless. The best part of the movie though is Franco's acting as the stoner. He captures the character perfectly. Overall, I am not going to compare it to Superbad...because..I shouldn't have to...it's a different movie, but it is hilarious!
