Are you sure, you want to add I Love You, Man
to your wish list?
Storyline:
Peter Klaven's world revolves around his real estate work and Zooey, his soon-to-be fiancée. After he pops the question, she calls her best friends and they go into wedding planning mode. Peter has no male friends and that poses problems: will he turn out to be a clingy guy, and who will be his best man? Zooey, her friends, and Peter's brother Robbie offer help that results in awkward moments. Then, at an open house Peter's hosting, he meets Sydney, an amiable, low-key guy. They trade business cards, and Peter calls him to meet for drinks. A friendship develops that's great at first but then threatens Peter's engagement and career. Can guys be friends and couples be in love?

(Per an ACTUAL advance press preview) This 1hr 50mins movie stars Paul Rudd, Jason Segel and Rashida Jones.
This well-paced comedy is hysterical - and the chemistry between the cast-members is electrifying! Everyone seemed totally at ease and looked like they all had fun playing their respective roles.
The sly clever irreverent in-your-face slice-of-life blend of jokes are spot-on, blatant and sometimes vulgar - fitting the overall tone of the movie. Silly, fun, loopy, zany, hysterical, etc. - take your pick of adjectives - no matter what, you will laugh!
The hilarious Paul Rudd is a certified nutty gem!
Major themes: trust, responsibility, friendship, love.
I'll watch it again - hoping for a UNRATED DVD version with extended/deleted scenes.
VERDICT:
Parents - please do not bring your kids to this R-rated movie.
Otherwise, do yourself a FAVOR - Go See It - and have a chuckle!
Again, NO kids allowed. Otherwise, try explaining to them what MAN-DATE means.

I can't believe I said OMG, but this movie was freakin hilarious! I was actually laughing out loud in the movie theater and I don't ever do that. The main actors are hilarious and did a good job at acting. Must see!

I was laughing the entire movie. I have been a fan of Jason Segel since Freaks and Geeks and his delivers, as always. As for Paul Rudd, there are no words. He has definitely come in to his own these past few years. He was the best part of the movie. Honestly, there were no bad parts. You will definitely be please with this movie.

Based on the fart-humor previews and the goofy sounding plot, I wasn't expecting much from this guy-bonding premised movie, but was actually quite surprised. Situations and dialogue were well-written, great casting and ensemble acting made the characters believeable, and there were many, many funny lines, situations and gags.

It was pretty good. Some parts lagged but overall a nice story.
