To all of you who write a review on a movie that you have not seen such as "I can't wait to see it" or "I think this movie might be good" or "Shrek sucks", cut it out! Shrek the Third: Hitting the mark of brilliance very close to the first two. If you liked the first two you will most probably love this third one as well. A very fresh story line, introducing new characters, getting better acquainted with older characters, and of course featuring all the characters all fans have grown to love. Very funny, and fresh. Focusing more on enteraining the older portion of their audiance than the younger children (in making fun of fairy tales - children - particularly younger ones-don't nesseceairly understand the jokes. And even if they do understand, they don't particualarly understand why one would do such a thing). Still even younger audiances are captivated by well beloved Shrek, his noble steed Donkey, and Puss in Boots along will all the others that have become so well known and adored. Shrek the Third is a movie that ultimately, and audiences of all ages can enjoy. A great family film, that is not a let down, even in comparison with the first two film

HA Ha! Sorry I am still laughing from the movie that was hilarious

I absolutely loved this movie. I saw it at the first show availible and fell in love with it. I think I actually liked it better than the first two Shreks. The music was well placed and the new additions to the cast were good choices. I insist that you go and see this movie!

My 3.5 year old and I went and enjoyed it throughly. Personally, I love animated films and if you enjoyed the first two, this one won't disappoint. The graphics and motion are fantastic, good story, and lots of non-offensive potty humour. I will watch this one again. From a parents point of view, I have a few comments. There is a "lot of story" in this one. The complexity and morals went right over my child's head. My child is transfixed when watching movies, but some of the dialogue sceens may loose a little one. Her favorite part of the movie, was when a baby Shrek blurps on the Queen.There was a little too much talk about killing; Prince Charming sole purpose in life is to kill Shrek and restore his happily ever after. That sat wrong with me in the theatre but didn't seem phase my child. She was more concerned with the Frog King dying. I would recommend the movie. I can see us in the future, popping some corn and watching the DVD, once or twice ... or thirty times.
