Storyline:
Molly Mahoney is the manager of Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, the awesome toy store owned by Mr. Edward Magorium. Molly was a promising composer and piano player when she was a girl, and now she is a twenty-three year-old insecure woman that feels stuck in her job. Among the costumers of the Emporium is the lonely hat collector, Eric Applebaum, who has only Molly and Mr. Magorium for friends. When the last pair of shoes that Mr. Magorium bought in Toscana is worn, he hires the accountant, Henry Weston to adjust the accounts of the Emporium. Furthermore, he claims that he is two hundred and forty-three years old and his time to go has come; he gives a block of wood called Congreve cube to Molly and asks Henry to transfer the Emporium to her name. Molly tries to convince Mr. Magorium to stay in his magical toy store instead of "going".

We went with the whole family and we all loved it. It was really sweet and innocent with no hidden agenda. Just fun and wildly imaginative with a great message! My kiddos got a kick out of seeing all of the toys coming to life. Dustin Hoffman, Natalie Portman and Jason Bateman were great and the little boy was heartwarming. We loved it and thought it was a great kick-off to the holiday season. Enjoy!

We saw the world sneak preview at the Denver Stars Film Festival and it was amazing. What a magical movie experience. Very good story for both the young and old. Dustin Hoffman was perfect and this movie teaches some very good life lessons. I'm probably talking vague because I really don't want to give anything away. Nevertheless, you will not be disappointed! Definately...two thumbs way up! A Must See!!!

Do not waste your money, let alone your time seeing this film. Although the concept was thought out, the film fell flat in all areas. Dustin Hoffman is a wonderful actor, but the writing left this character that was supposed to be a bit "over the top", with much to be desired. Even the scenes that were meant to be heartwarming rendered a big yawn from me. The speical effects were so obviously computer generated that they did not allow the viewer to buy into the magic of this very special toy store. Also, be aware that Mr. Magorium dies. Don't worry, I am not ruining the movie here as it is already pitiful to begin with and Magorium's deathis not the end of the movie. I am just stating this because you may take your young children, children that are very young, that possibly have not been introduced to death and dying. Just wanted all of you to be ready for that impromtu chat about death with your three year old! A lackluster film at best and even that is being generous.

This movie was outstanding it was nothing what I expected. The film was an eye opener to movie viewers to believe in themselves and believe you can be anything. Excellent Morals and overall wonderful Magorium performance from Dustin Hoffman. Bravo, Two Thumbs Way up!!!!!!!

This was a great movie with some very amazing special effects. The story line was a bit different then one might expect, but with some wonderful themes. It's a good time of year to take a time out from all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and realize that you have to believe in the magic in your life to be a part of all the magical moments every day. I took three boys with me to see this movie- ages 8, 9, and 10...they all loved it!
