Strange fantastic great acted mysterious

One of the best crime movies I've seen in ages. Costner is not one of my fav's but he was great in this. The movie keeps you trying to figure out what is next, and you can't! They come up with shocks and surprises galore. As a crime movie fan, I usually can figure out what's happening next, but not with this one. Go to the bathroom before you begin watching because you will not want to leave your seat for a minute. Excellent acting by all: Wm. Hurt 's role was also an intriguing character, and the acting was, again, excellent. The interplay between Hurt and Costner was marvelous. The mix of horror and humor was intriguing and disturbing at the same time. The intrigue between Brooks and his daughter was spine tingling. Really a fantastic movie. Don't miss it! I can't wait for the DVD to see it again and again and again.........dj4

I got the offer to see the preview of this movie in burbank and at first there was no telling what this movie was going to turn out as, here in my mind im thinking a total spin-off of american psycho, but oh man was i mistaken. this movie was like a rollercoaster ride of thoughts only a serial killer can comprehend. it led you on a total different route and many turns that led you in complete shock. of course you knew many of the turn outs but you will be surprised at times on what this memsmerizing movie has to offer and you will most definitly have to love some parts. i will 100% recommend this movie to anyone with any tastes. GO!

This movie is an awesome thriller you get to see Kevin Costner play a killer, a role he hasn't ever played. But it is a great movie, you sit at the edge of your seat confused but then it all changes and you understand completly what's going on... GO SEE THIS FLICK

It seems a bit strange to say that "I loved this film"--considering its very dark and disturbing subject matter--but it was so well executed (no pun intended) that I highly recommend it. Costner delivers a cool, dispassionate performance as he struggles with inner demons to balance his dual role of loving father and family man with that of a cold-blooded, serial killer. And Hurt plays "Bonnie to Costner's Clyde or vice versa" as his diabolical, yet outrageously witty alterego and partner in crime. Moore's performance is the most subdued of the trio, but it's very effective as the tough, female cop / detective in hot pursuit of a pathological killing machine. This one is a winner with a superb cast, plot, and script.
