Carlotta Montanari is one of the latest imports to emerge from Italy's long-revered world of Cinema. Determined and full of life, she loved to dance and sing in front of a camera since very little. During her childhood spent a lot of time with animals among evocative landscapes where she discovered a wonderful connection to horses and practiced habitually the horse riding. She wanted to study cinema, however attended and graduated from the Federico Fellini Institute of Visual Arts in Riccione and worked as creative designer for two years. During the studies she was presenting local events, and doing some modeling. Thereafter, Carlotta was personally invited and admitted to an intensive acting lab at the acclaimed International Acting school Teatro Blu in Rome. After moving to Rome was acting for and hosting European television for the major networks RAI TV and Mediaset, as well as appearing in a number of motion pictures and giving voice to films and documentaries. In this time she thought to enroll at La Sapienza University where she studied Communication Sciences and Entertainment for two years. Having acting as a priority Carlotta continued the studies at the International Actor's Center in Rome and successively had the rare opportunity to work her craft under the prestigious guidance of The Actor's Studio in Los Angeles moderated by Martin Landau and Mark Rydell , as well as other teachers as a Allan Miller (former students have included Barbra Streisand, Dustin Hoffman, Meryl Streep, Geraldine Page). Speaks and acts perfectly in English, Italian and Spanish with a wide acting range and characterization.
In 2000 Carlotta became Graphic Designer and worked as graphic artist. She also studied Communication and Journalism. Thereafter she moved to Rome to follow her real passion for acting.She loves horses. She's been practicing horse riding since she was only 6.Owned a Honda Hornet 600cc (2003-2009) that she was driven on road trips with her father around Italy.Her father is a conservative of painting of modern art and old motorcycles.Her first acting job was in Al Posto Tuo, TV show on Rai TV, two hours of show entirely improvised.Italian native and fluent in English. She has working knowledge of Spanish and French.Paints with different techniques.She dances Latin American dances such as salsa and merengue and bachata.Lived in Cork, Ireland for a while at age of 19. She traveled by herself.At age 22, she saved the life of a woman in Italy while working as a life-guard.Carlotta's philanthropy includes Domestic Violence Awareness S.A.F.E; Children's Care Pediatric Gaslini of Genova; Croce Rosse Italiana and Animal Rescue.At The Actor's Studio, she trains with famed acting coach, Allan Miller, who has also coached Barbra Streisand , Dustin Hoffman , Meryl Streep , Geraldine Page , Lily Tomlin , Sigourney Weaver , Rue McClanahan , Dianne Wiest , and Bruce Davison .For fun she participated in three Italian regional beauty pageants, winning Miss Erbavita in 2005.She was called to host a few TV shows and initiatives for the organization Save The Children.First language is Italian, English is spoken as a second language.
