Moronic American student Rusty arranges a student exchange program for his closest friend and him to study in Romania for six months and meet his Internet girlfriend Draguta. He travels with potheads Pete and Wang; Pete's girlfriend Lia and his twin sister Danni; the naive and romantic Newmar and his dippy girlfriend Lynne; the nerd Brady and crook Cliff. His friends actually intend to party. While traveling by train to Razvan, they learn that five hundred years ago, vampire Radu lost his beloved Stephania, whose spirit was trapped in a music box. Radu has kept Stephania's body and has been seeking the music box to bring Stephania back. Meanwhile, one of Radu's minions retrieves the music box but is mortally wounded by the vampire slayer Teodora Van Sloan and he drops the object in a gypsy's basket. Newmar buys the music box and gives it to Lynne. When they arrive at the university...

But Booker prefers to lose his virginity to his long-term sweetheart Rachel just down the hall. Meanwhile, another student, named Wang, awaits the arrival of a French foreign exchange student, who speaks little English, also named Dominique. Farcical wackiness ensues as a series of mistaken identities and mishaps escalate into monumental proportions starting when Wang leaves for work, Dominique the Student arrives and is mistaken for the prostitute by Styles, while Dominique the Hooker is mistaken for the student by others including the two dorm gossip queens Lynne and Marla. After three rowdy guys get booted from their frat house, they dress up as women and pledge the "ugly girl" sorority, where they figure they'll blend right in. In their new environment, the men relinquish their frat mentality and realize how hurtful they have been to women over the years. When their less-than-stunning female forms earn them an invite to a "dog catcher" party at their old frat, they decide to brave the harassment so they can grab the rest of their belongings from the house and make a clean break.
