Jim Horning was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Dorothy Murray and Jerry Horning. As the youngest of four children, Jim spent most of his life between both New Jersey and Florida. No surprise to family or friends, Jim knew he would be an actor from the young age of five and could often be found creating and practicing his own scripts or acting out entire pieces while playing every character. Interestingly enough, music caused a bit of a detour as Jim's classically trained bass/baritone allowed for him to perform his original material at festivals and shows in the late 90s and early 2000s. Turning his attention once again toward acting, Jim began to find increased work in modeling which eventually led to his being in front of the camera. With his unique look (due in part to a mixed heritage including Irish, Scottish, Italian and American Indian) Jim is often cast in very diverse and varying roles.
