I managed to get some tickets for the premiere and I thought the movie was great. THe animation, the writing, the Patrick Doyle score all worked well. The characters are interesting/funny. I think it will appeal to kids but I also liked it. The voice cast is so talented they really grab your attention. Highly Reccomended.

This movie is such a nice suprise. I had the privelege of attending the premier and REALLY, what a delight. First, the script is very clever. It will appeal to children and adults alike. It is a charming story of an underdog-Igor- trying to move beyond his defined position in life. I loved all of the characters. The chemistry between Igor ( Cusack), Brain (Sean Hayes), and Scamper (Steve Buscemi-marvelous!) is great, particularly the rivalry between Brain( or Brian-love this!) and Scamper. Eva (Molly Shannon) is endearing and all of the other characters are wonderful. Jay Leno was a nice suprise. I didn't even recognize his voice! Jennifer Coolidge fans will love her in this. She plays multiple characters and is spot on! This movie is entertaining and has a valuable message for everyone. Treat the family to a night of great fun!

More wholesome than Shrek (no innuendo jokes confusing kids just for an adult laugh), IGOR has a very meaningful message about "using your powers for good instead of evil". Creating a lot of innocence & hopeful humor from the context of the evil world of Malaria it is staged in, Igor is also raising money to fight Malaria in reality. Although Igor has a slightly slow start, and can be a bit fast & fragmented at times - there's more than plenty to like! In a dark land, under the tyranny of King Malbert, the Malarians are eventually saved from having to collude with his evil blackmail of the rest of the world. Our heroes are most unlikely, and in an often hilarious tumble of fateful events, they learn that they had a deeper purpose than even they knew at the start. Characters are well developed, quite unique, well casted & acted. This wonderful story gives a gift of hope, humor & innocence in a time when we need it most. All ages will share the humor and love it for the same reasons.

I recently took my 7 and 10 yr old boys to see a Igor. I was horrified at how inappropriate the film was for kids. There was an excess of adult inuendos, morbid story line and no feel good, child friendly message. Who thought that a cartoon character that tries unendingly to commit suicide would be appropriate for kids. I am hardly a prudish mom, my kids have been exposed to a wide variety of films but this one was among the worst that I have ever seen.

It was a good family movie with enough adult humor to make it enjoyable for the parent as well as the child. An original story with memorable characters I enjoyed it very much.
