Slender, barely 5'2", assisting a dance troupe, Veera Kaur's dream is to represent the 9-time losing Indian Tigers cricket team. The team, led by Choudhary Vikramjeet Singh, have never won the Aman Cup against their rivals, Pakistan Champs, led by Pathan Liqayat Ali Khan. Shortly thereafter, his life will be turned upside down when he will be interrogated and arrested by Goa Crime Branch Inspector Yashwant Deshmukh for killing five individuals.

14 - year - old Sikandar Raza has been living with his uncle and aunt in Kashmir, ever since his parents were killed by militants 10 years ago. All 3 men had written their last letters to Kuljeet Kaur, Squadron Leader Vikram Singh, and Dr. Naqvi respectively. These letters were located 3 years later by IBN Reporter, Avinash Sarin, who entrusts them to two Indore-based slackers, Ali Shah and Sameer Suri, and asks them to deliver them to Chandigarh, Manali, and Leh respectively. Ali and Sameer set out to film this journey in order to get a graduation degree so that they can re-locate to America as well as televise it widely in order to convince the youth not to join any of India's armed forces.

When Meghalaya-based Gogai attempts to molest his subordinate, Kalyani, her husband, Khogiram Maheshwar Gwala, also an employee, intervenes, a scuffle ensues, people gather and separate the duo, and an enraged Gogai fires them. Khogiram is unable to find a job; Kalyani does not make enough money weaving baskets; while their two children, Pinaki and Rimzim, have not only to deal with their respective Catholic schools, but also assist their parents, and share a pair of shoes. Things get even worse after Gogai gets killed, and Inspector Vishwajeet Khatonyar detains and interrogates Khogiram - suspecting him of not only killing Gogai but also having connections with terrorists.

Employed as an Air Hostess with Spice Jet, Mumbai-based Preeti Sengupta has a boyfriend in Karan Malhotra. Both decide to rent an apartment near Oshiwara and share the rent. But when she notices that he is paying more attention to other females, she breaks up with him, and decides to rent a room to a female paying guest. She does find one in Neha Bhargav, an employee from a book store, who calls her 'Didi', agrees to pay the rent on time, and even does all the housework and cooking. After Madhusudan's cat dies unexpectedly he decides to probe further into Neha's past - and it is this decision that will change everyone's lives forever.

Dheerendra Singh is a kick-boxer, who after beating Gajanan Dinan, has been selected to represent India in the 14th Annual Kick-boxing tournament in Kuala Lumpur where he will be pitted against Pakistan's Noor Mohammad. He is engaged to Neela Chaudhary, and lives with his widowed mother, and a cricketer brother, Veerender. The family witness Dheerendra excel himself during his bout against Noor but ends up gravely injured, and subsequently passes away after a kick in the neck area. When the Malaysian Government rules it as an accident, an enraged Dheerendra opts out of cricket, joins the kick-boxing team, and travels to Lahore (a city that was founded by Vishnu Avatar Ramji's son, Lav) to participate in the Quid-E-Azam Tournament where he hopes to avenge his brother's untimely death but is not aware of the outcome of his quest as well as the surprises that await him there.

K.K. Khosla (Anupam Kher) is a middle class man living in New Delhi. He is a simple man with simple tastes. The plot starts with a scene where Khosla dreams about his death. The irony is that nobody cares about his death; instead his children & neighbours are more interested in their materialistic needs. One early morning in Delhi, Khosla wakes up and plans to go to the site where he has purchased a plot to build his house. He is accompanied by his wife, eldest son Bunty (Ranvir Shorey), second son Chironji Lal Khosla (Parvin Dabas), and his daughter. When they reach the spot they find that the site has been occupied by someone else and on further investigation find that it has been captured by a property usurping nexus headed by a man named Kishan Khurana (Boman Irani). Khurana demands Rs. 15 lakhs to vacate the plot, which Khosla refuses to give. Bunty gathers few local strongmen and forcefully destroys the walls and re-occupies the plot...
