This was absolutely the WORST movie my husband and I have ever seen!!!! We were literally fighting to keep our eyes open...FYI we went to the earliest matinee...not a night time showing. ZZZZZZZZ The camera work was awful...very shaky ...hence my headache! The shaky camera work kind of started off like that Blair Witch movie! The plot was just dreadful, the 2 main characters were unbelievable as an engaged couple. There was no chemistry between the 2 in our opinion! Please please save your money! DO NOT BOTHER SEEING THIS FARCE OF A MOVIE!!!! We finally had to follow suit and leave a third of the way through...just as THE MANY MANY theater goers did BEFORE of us that morning!!!!

Rachael Getting Married is proof that some movies aren't better than a sharp stick in your eye. If you have the unwavering desire to watch a movie filled with every conceivable Hollywood cliche, about a recovering dope addict attend her sister's wedding, this is the movie for you. Run don't walk to see it because it won't be around long. Otherwise, this movie is the just the worst on many levels all the way from the non-existent plot line to the hand carried camera. Frankly, don't waste your time, instead spend an evening at the home of whatever neighbor has the most dysfunctional unhappy family on the block and you pretty much have duplicated the movie and saved $20.00.

After all the rave reviews I was really looking forward to seeing this film. What a bitter disappointment. A woman's story told from a male POV, all the women were selfish and incredibly unlikable - the men either benign or mildly sympathetic. Sitting in the forth row, I was even willing to make allowances for the neck wrenching hand held camera work - but it was pointless. A self-indulgent waste of money. I wish I had spent mine on something else.

a boring, pretentious, predictable film that adds nothing new to the genre. if you have seen betsy's wedding, monsoon wedding, or polish wedding then you have already seen this film. anne hathaway gives a fine performance as a former model who has arrived for her sister's wedding and almost ruins it. the standout performance is given by the father of the bride who makes you wonder what he must have done wrong to deserve the dysfunctional family he has. this is an overrated film that for some reason has gotten a great deal of oscar buzz. the director of this film has taken a major step back since he did the silence of the lambs. most of the movie is nothing more than a music video with a great deal of improvisation that ended up in the finished product. there is a reason why this film is hard to find and that is because it is something that a college student could have made.

I can find nothing good to say about this movie. It looked like something a couple of high school kids filmed with their Dad's video camera. I was disappointed from the beginning to the end.
