In general the movie was predictable and brought nothing new to the Beauty and the Beast tale. I would have been OK with that if it had been a fun romantic romp through a modernized fairy tale, however they changed the book ("Beastly") in so many places that it no longer made sense. The PG-13 rating came from the swearing that the teens do through-out.

Modern day Beauty and the Beast! I thought the movie was great. It really makes you think. Beauty is the eye of the beholder. Soceity is so caught up with beauty and this goes to how beauty is only skin deep! I would recommend this movie.

I was honestly hoping for it to be a whole lot better. It was totally different from the book in many ways. In the book he the girl to his dad's winter house in the mountain.. in the movie he took her to a lake house. In the book he changed his name to Adrian but in the movie he changed it to hunter. also in the book his housekeeper/maid name was Magda and in the Movie it was something with an S. I love Beauty and the Beast so i was really looking forward to this movie but it was not what i was hoping for i was really upset with it. It seemed like the movie was going to fast and was just so wrong. I just wish it was better in so many ways.
