This movie was all over the place with style and general feel. I understand that the 3 "chapters" of the film were directed by 3 different people and that is fairly evident in the movie. Each piece while connected by storyline have a much different feel that leaves you yearning for something to grab on to. While each episode of the film has it's moments of decent writing and directing, the 2nd act is by far the most compelling and had the entire movie been stylisticly along the lines of this act, it would have been a decent movie. There really isn't much to take away from this film after you see it. You don't care about any of the characters, the storyline is weak, they never really give you anything to get involved with. We talked for about 5 mins about it after this movie was over and that was mostly about wanting our money back. It's worth checking out at the discount theater in 6 months or a 3 buck rental but not any more than that.

Worst movie ever. Sure ultra violence presented in scary and new ways is always of interest but The Signal misses the point in every way. American Psycho is my favorite film and I walked out of The Signal and I wasn't the only one who did.
