This movie was intense from the start and it kept you going through to the end. It is like a more realistic and better-made Starship troopers. Acting was good and believable. Definitely recommend and I will see again and I will own this.

Came back from Battle: Los Angles presently surprised. I've been wanting to see this film since I saw the first trailer last year. Aaron Eckhart did a great job as a tortured, conflicted, yet heroic Marine. The only person I didn't care for was Bridget's character. However, this film was intense, emotional (certain moments in the film where you wondered if the platoon will make it out alive), the score by Brian Tyler was amazing, the look of the aliens were unique. They coordinate their attacks, move behind for cover, and carry their wounded much like the Marines do. I really appreciated the themes of bravery and perseverance in the face of incredible odds. To me, it made me feel proud to be a American because our military does a great job. Definitely going to check it out again soon. It's Saving Private Ryan, but with aliens. If you're a fan of war films or alien invasion films, then this film is right up your alley. Don't listen to those idiotic, lame critics, go see it for yourself

A little Propogandish with the whole wanting to be a marine, but still....I give this movie an A. Makes me want to do my 3D homework. Go see it!

Saw the midnight showing and was blown away. This movie is on such a huge scale and I personally was expecting a lot but this went beyond what I was expecting. There are no force fields and when you shoot the aliens they die(even though it is hard to kill them) you see this movie through Marines eyes and you never get a sense they were doing anything that real Marines wouldn't do in that situation.The acting is great other than Michelle Rodriguez but we should all be used to that by now. There is also a good amount of human drama, and you see a lot of what real soldiers have to deal with like leaving their wife and kid or losing a loved one. This movie is stunning and will have you gasping for breath then deliver a great and pulse pounding ending!! People who say this movie is cliche are just looking for a reason to not like it. Go see this movie then go see it again because I promise you will want to!! Retreat hell!!
