Overall a good time Spidery movie. Had its typical corny parts and sappy Spidery lines, but we weren't dissappointed at all. Great time for the whole family! If some friends invited me I would go again....

Honestly it's not as good as I was hoping it would be. Storyline was very much predictable. I've seen better special effects and the acting was "just OK". I really wanted it to be "BIGGER".

This movie was not what I was hoping for regarding plot or entertainment. Andrew Garfield is a good actor, but boring and just blah as Spiderman. I may be comparing him to Tobey Maguire, whom I will ALWAYS fondly revere as the real Spiderman. The movie dialogue was not as good as it could have been, as every conversation left me wanting them to say more for dramatic or comedic emphasis. There were many boring parts that just dragged on and then there were many inconsistant parts. For example, Spidey gets shot in the leg and he hobbles along, trying to make his way to Oscorp. Then after going some distance, he decides to spray some webbing on the wound - why didn't he just do that from the beginning? Because of the leg wound, for some reason he needs the city cranes to help him swing from crane to crane to get him through the city, when throughout the rest of the movie, he had no trouble swinging without any crane assistance. Garfield has no muscle mass either. We didn't care for it.

Being a long time Spider Man fan, I really liked this movie. To me Andrew Garfeild was a more believable Peter Parker/Spider Man than Tobey. The different spin on the origin of him getting his abilities was good too. It also appeared that this movie did not rely alot on CGI special effects as much as the first three made alot of the scence appear real and not cartoon like. So if you are a fan of Spiderman or just like action with a little romance thrown in go see this movie and you wont be dissapointed.

I had high hopes for this new spidey movie, and I was disappointed after sitting through two hours of rewind from the first spidey movie. Andrew Garfield's spider-man was too weak. He lack strength, agility, power, speed, and spider sense compared to Tobey Maguire's spider-man. Even the spidey suit lack quality and appearance. Personally, I believe the director should have picked up from the last spider-man movie instead of remaking the first when the first was already good. All the actors and actresses in the movie did well in their parts...the director and producers did a poor job of recreating the beginning of Peter Parker's life. If you like the first three spider-man movies, you're going to hate this new remake of spider-man. Don't waste your money. Wait for the dvd and blu ray. Tobey Maguire will always be my spider-man.
