Storyline:
On August 7, 1974, Philippe Petit, a French wire walker, juggler, and street performer days shy of his 25th birthday, spent 45 minutes walking, dancing, kneeling, and lying on a wire he and friends strung between the rooftops of the Twin Towers. Uses contemporary interviews, archival footage, and recreations to tell the story of his previous walks between towers of Notre Dame and of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, his passions and friendships, and the details of the night before the walk: getting cable into the towers, hiding from guards, and mounting the wire. It ends with observations of the profound changes the walk's success brought to Philippe and those closest to him.

Thoroughly entertaining. There was a lot of original footage of Petit performing other wire walking stunts, as well as footage of him and his friends planning and preparing for the Twin Towers. The interviews were interesting and at times very amusing. A well told story.

It's not Spiderman, folks, if that's the type of movie you are looking for.
Who would ever want to toss a cable between the twin towers of the world trade center and walk back and forth for 45 minutes. N O B O D Y !! And that's why the movie is so interesting.
It's an interesting and engaging movie/documentary of a very unusual, very dangerous and very true event.

This was a great movie. I grew up in the NY area when Petit did his marvelous and stupefying walk between the Twin Towers (RIP). This movie really captured the excitement, daring and planning that went into that amazing feat! Think about it -- this is the only person who ever did (and, sadly, ever will be able to) walk between these great buildings.

If you love a good story, you must see this movie. The story of this daring stunt and the stomach turning views from atop the World Trade Center make this a fantastic movie. It has a lot of original footage, and it is told as if it were a bank heist. Philippe Petite is an amazing performer with incredible determination. I'll see this one again!
