Storyline:
It's Schluufy's birthday, and the Oogieloves (Goobie, Zoozie and Toofie), along with their friends J. Edgar, Windy Window and Ruffy, are organizing a party. (Shh! It's a secret.) Everything is going along just perfectly until J. Edgar trips and loses the last five magical balloons in all of Lovelyloveville--OH NO! The Oogiloves set out to find the magical balloons in time to save their friend's party. Along the way, they meet some very interesting characters indeed, including Dotty Rounder (Cloris Leachman), Bobby Wobbly (Carey Elwes), Milky Marvin (Chazz Palminteri), Rosalie Rosebud (Toni Braxton) and Lola and Lero Sombero (Christopher Lloyd and Jaime Pressly). Can these new friends help them recover the magical balloons and get back to the cottage in time to celebrate Schluufy's surprise birthday?

I am absolutely horrified by the critical reviews of this film. We're not talking about an Academy Award contender. This movie is aged appropriate for young kids and a welcome relief from all the supposedly family films that scare the heck out of my two girls. We had a ball at this movie, and I highly recommend it. No scares. Nothing inappropriate. I really hope more Moms get behind the Oogieloves, because I for one would like to see a lot more G-rated movies for my girls. Very happy to give this movie my highest recommendation for families.

My friend and I took our grandkids (5 of them) to see the Oogieloves, and I'm not sure who enjoyed it the most. Very sweet and innocent movie for your kids, and their grandmothers I guess too. I didn't dance much, but four of the five kids did. And my friend, but she's wild like that. We had so much fun at the Oogieloves. I hope it's very successful. Thank you.

Disney obsessed Mom who won't let 3 and 5 year old kids watch most Disney movies because of the violence and dark characters.
The Oogieloves has none of that. Bright, colorful and fun, this movie is as innocent as it gets. And as fun as it gets. When else are kids allowed to sing and dance in a theater. So nice not to get shushed by others.
My boy and girl had a ball, and so did I. My husband...well that's another story.
This movie is truly unique. Check it out as soon as you can!

Bottom line: My kids loved this flick. Two and a half year old girl and six year old boy. My wife and I watched them most of the time cuz they were having so much fun. The movies definitely not made for adults, but neither is most of the stuff we get stuck doing with our kids. My kids had a blast and that's what matters. Good job Oogieloves.
