It was awesome to see the NEW "Jim" Kirk and all the rest of the NEW, old crew. They have started a new era of Star Trek. This was the best Star Trek movie in a long time! A must see especially for anyone that has ever seen Star Trek before! Well done, Hollywood!!!!

It is a fast paced exciting movie. I liked it. However, just keep in mind that there is no originality left in Hollywood. They stole a major scene from earlier Star Trek and made It a major part of the movie.....they could have easily put some thought into it and made an "original scene".you will recognize the long scene, it felt like it was just a time filler. The same is true with EVERY SINGLE show on television. Just steal a scene and think that no one will remember where it first occurred. The acting is good, I thought that Karl Urban (dr. McCoy) did a great job even though he does not get a lot of camera time. Go see it. It is more predictable than not, but it is an exciting movie. a new favorite actor of mine Anton Yelchin, is also a great "Chekhov". Oh, one more interesting thing--the "new" Klingon look is good. They don't look like the traditional Klingons, but they fit the idea of them perfectly.

A great movie starts with a great trailer that can get you excited yet give away as little of the actual plot as possible. Kudos to J.J. Abrams for the excellent set up and execution! This movie had the right amount of everything...drama, comedy, seriousness, cheesiness, action, acting, cinematography, costumes, action (deserves a double mention), special effects, set design...everything! As predictable as some parts were, other parts seemed to warp out of nowhere to great effect. Into the Darkness seems both familiar and fresh. Some elements definitely echo The Wrath of Khan even though this story takes place parallel to that one in an alternative universe sort of way. This movie shows that the Star Trek franchise has legs and plenty of room to stretch them into future amazing movies. The beginning of the credits has cool planetary scenes (especially in 3D). There's nothing after. If you like my reviews, add me as a fan. I'll add you back!
