Interesting story: Great Sci-Fi Effects, twisty plot, love interest, I am over 50 and liked it and my two teenage "Hard to Please" Boys loved it.

I haven't fallen asleep in a movie in years, but this was sooooooooo slow and pointless that boring is almost a compliment. This is an insult to Tom Cruise as an actor, what crap! No story line, no real plot, no real action, WTF!

This movie kept me engaged throughout and the imagery is great. Cruise did a decent job with the role as did the rest of the cast. But when all is said and done I am once again disappointed that the hype didn't match the product. I left the theater confused and I don't like for movies to confuse me. Who, what, and why? Are not questions to have once the credits roll in my opinion I say GO, so you can judge for yourself.

I would be shocked if this movie doesn't get an overall Must See from the Fans. It is clever, great script, the technicals are fabulous, characters were developed, It feels like a more slick Matrix - but it has heart and soul - I am thrilled that Cruz finally landedin a movie that exploits his skills and is something worth speaking about after. Go see this movie - TWICE

This one did have potential. Plus, it had all the right elements to become a blockbuster hit. Sadly, that won't happen. The reason? My view is because they spent too much time and money on production with little to no effort in polishing the finished product. Most specifically, visual editing was sloppy BUT the entire film's soundtrack was "muddy" end-to-end, and wasn't just this audience member's ears or a particular theater either. I saw it twice in two different venues, just to be certain. If you have even MILD hearing problems, I STRONGLY suggest you borrow the theater's assisted hearing device or bring your own. You may not want to make the effort though, since the mumbling dialog of this screenplay is itself, mind-numbing. They managed to make a big budget version of Independence Day meets all the worst parts of the Road Warrior here. Skip it, catch it on cable, rent or stream it. You'll be glad you saved your money for a better film, several of which are due in two weeks
