A group of fugitives who committed crimes in the 60s in the name of anti-establishment principles unexpectedly get outed after one of them turns herself in. I'm sure there are plenty of leftist baby boomers out there who will love this movie for the memories it brings and the principles it preaches about, namely anti-establishment rhetoric. However, as a movie it plays like a second-rate remake of The Fugitive. The storyline is similar: Redford's character is unjustly accused and he goes on the run to prove his innocence. The premise is weak, since a women he once loved has to turn herself in and confess all, including Redford's character's non-involvement for it to work. Nevertheless, Redford is on the run in this movie and he contacts his old network of leftist revolutionaries to try and clear his name. All this is very entertaining and some of the moments are thrilling, but no enough to save the film from its righteous preaching and uninspired storyline.

The Company You Keep is a film about people whose decisions decades earlier come back to significantly affect their lives. The cast was very good as well as the pace and the drama. I was a little disappointed in the third act, but all and all, a good movie to watch.

Love this movie! It is about history & up to date lives of these great actors......It's better than a thriller, because the story is so well put together and did I say the acting was incredible? I was totally blown away with this movie. I wasn't expecting so much amazing acting, directing, story, action, cinematography, brilliant writing. Just beautifully done. Amazing! Who'd ever guess, so many stars - such great acting? Must see for my friends!.

When one goes to a Redford directed movie, the question usually is if one will enjoy the subject matter, and not how well done it is, because they always are. This movie is low key for the most part. It tells what has happened to a group of extremists 30 years after they all went underground for a crime they committed and never have been caught. Dispersed around the country, they still now how to get in contact with each other when they have to, and one of them has to now. Most of the major actors have been entertaining us in movies for 40 to 50 years, and they can still today. It's a shame that there are not more movies that utilize their still excellent acting skills and screen presence. The movie does not drag at any point. Overall a very good movie and worthwhile seeing
