This was not an action film. It was fun, however. The story kept pace with its mood and did not rely on overused cliches to move itself along. Riddick is about characters, mostly, and these characters happen to be the violent sort. But it wasn't super talky like a Tarantino film. It made its own distinct flavor and I would enjoy seeing another installment to the Riddick series after this.

I loved the Rated R Riddick. I just love the way he talks. I wish we'd seen more of him locked in the heat of battle with the aliens. I felt like the end resolved itself too quickly. However, overall I just loved this movie! Vin as Riddick is always something to love.

Hand it to Vin Diesel to have given us a great character in Riddick. Its only Sci Fi folks but I find his style for this character perfecto. I cannot in respect to anyone who likes to come to their own conclusions tell you anything about this movie except to say that it had the audience whoopin and laughing. I'm gonna watch it many more times and look forward to meeting David Toohey and Vin Diesel some day to shake their hand and say great job.

its pitch black meets Lassie. Good entertainment if you like sci fi/ action. Of course its predictable...name a movie that came out in the last 20 years that wasn't.. The obligatory foul language and sexual references. Its good escapism. If you want cerebral, stay home and read the dictionary while playing sudoku.

A pretty good Sci-Fi, but undortunately, Hollywood has an obligatory formula that always includes Gratuitous Female Violence against Men. We are treated to the usual fare of several scenes with a woman repeatedly striking a man in the face leaving the usual makeup artist bloody lip and swelling, etc. etc. ad nauseum. Of course all hollywood movies must have the mandatory scene where some female has to show that she is a "Strong Woman" (YEAH RIGHT!) by "beating up some guy". (YAWN). I suppose Hollywood has to satisfy the insecure, neurotic Femifascists in the audience. Especially in a Male Dominated movie where we just have to show that a female can "hold her own"......More YAWN. Other than this bit of mandatory Political Correctness......it's a pretty good movie.
