Storyline:
From out of the sky, Soviet, Nicaraguan, and Cuban troops begin landing on the football field of a Colorado high school. In seconds, the paratroopers have attacked the school and sent a group of teenagers fleeing into the mountains. Armed only with hunting rifles, pistols, and bows and arrows, the teens struggle to survive the bitter winter and the Soviet KGB patrols hunting for them. Eventually, trouble arises when they kill a group of Soviet soldiers on patrol in the highlands. Soon they will wage their own guerrilla warfare against the invading Soviet troops-under the banner of 'Wolverines!'

This movie has to be my all time favorite movie ever! The excitement was great and even though it's kinda sad it's funny at the same time

This is not your fathers Red Dawn. This is a lighter (in the character development arena) treatment of the same topic. More explosions, more fighting, more action. Kept true to some parts and then veered off in others. On its own, it was a good movie and for those looking to be entertained, it does just that.
If you're looking for a deep movie, keep looking. I would recommend it though and I saw lots of families in the theater who seemed to enjoy the movie as much as I did. OK for younger kids as well -- not too bloody and of course they had to use the 1-time "F" word for the PG-13 rating, not necessary, but I guess it's like a that second helping of pumpkin pie. You don't have to do it, you shouldn't do it, but you do it anyway because you can.

This movie made me proud to be an American! I clapped, I stomped, I yelled at the screen and it even pulled my hearstrings! A great date night movie to get that adrenaline going for some rough, dirty you-know-what afterwards!

This Red Dawn was a little more entertaining than the original. Loved the fact that it was filmed in the Pacific Northwest, and Chris Hemsworth was fun to watch (eye candy for my fiancee, as she drooled through the film! LOL). But overall...only worth the matinee price.
