Storyline:
In Las Vegas, the regenerated ex-con Jack Bruno works as taxi driver. During an UFO Convention at Planet Hollywood, the skeptical Jack picks up Dr. Alex Friedman, who will present a scientific lecture in the event. Then he is pressed by two henchmen of his former boss, the criminal Wolff, that wants to talk to him, but Jack does not want to return to the crime life. Jack fights and gets rid of them; out of the blue, he finds two teenagers on the backseat of his cab. They tell that they are siblings, Sara and Seth, and they need to travel to a location outside Las Vegas in the middle of nowhere. Meanwhile the government finds a spacecraft that crashed nearby Las Vegas and is chasing the two aliens; after the investigation of the men of Major Henry Burke, they discover that the two siblings are the aliens. Jack Bruno, Sara and Seth are chased by Henry Burke's team and by the "Syphon"...

Action packed from the time it started, all the way to the end.
Very entertaining for small kids to adults.

Tuesday March 10 - I just attended this 1hr 45mins 're-imagining' of the 1975 movie, Escape to Witch Mountain, which was based on the 1968 novel of the same name authored by Alexander Key.
This lack-luster latest incarnation is APPALLING - strictly aimed at the younger demographic - kids and teens.
Adults who are expecting a serious intelligent adventure action movie might be disappointed.
The re-imagined plot has more holes than a block of cheddar cheese - and the acting by the cast could be improved considerably. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson can't act - period.
Director Andy Fickman served up a movie full of cliches - 'been there done that' feeling aplenty.
Special effects were average.
Note: Kim Richards and Ike Eisenmann, both played the alien children in the 1975 movie, are in this movie as a waitress and a sheriff respectively.
VERDICT:
Definitely a rental. Yup!
But if you are a fan of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Kim Richards, and Ike Eisenmann - GO SEE IT!

Saw a early screening tonight and disappointed of this movie is a remake ,correct me if I'm wrong. The whole movie I felt like Jack Bruno was the bigger character than the Alien Siblings Seth and Sarah. I hate movies nowadays like this because it has to become modernized like Transformers where Sam Witwicky was more of the focus than the transformers. Seriously WTF Hollywood you suck for this and the government is always involved because they have to know everything and most of the time they become the main villain along with the evil alien bent on world domination gets old real fast. Overall this movie had good acting which i appreciated , but nothing original for me a bunch of good chase scenes and laughs. Again if this is a remake very disappointed and if its just another sequel it did okay. Parents and kids will enjoy this film but if your like me looking for something more and enjoy the old series , it could have done better. I miss the old days of original ideas.

It has an old school family thing going on. I'd classify it as a lite hearted kid thriller adventure movie, a little bit of everything to keep the whole family interested. A Go for the family and a So-So for everyone else.
Great movie kids and adults will enjoy this one.
