Growing up in Bundaberg, a small town in Queensland Australia, Angela Peters had aspirations of becoming a lawyer or psychologist. It wasn't until she attended the Actors Conservatory in Brisbane and completed a three year Advanced Diploma in Method Acting that she knew she wanted to be an actor. She was subsequently accepted into a course at the internationally-renowned École Philippe Gaulier in Paris. Now in the company of distinguished alumni such as Geoffrey Rush and Emma Thompson, Angela went on to be privately trained by actor and Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) tutor Nicholas Bishop. Angela now resides in London where she continues to be cast in movies and theatre roles. In 2004 Angela landed her first photographic role, becoming one of the faces of Suncorp Metway, and then later went on to work on television commercials for companies including Suncorp Metway, Holden and MTV. Her earliest movie role was being an extra in Gettin' Square starring Sam Worthington (while also working as the stand in for Freya Stafford). Angela has starred in award -winning festival films such as Tangled Up In Blue (Dir: Haider Rashid, Best Film Award - I See Films 2010; cinema release in late 2010) and Egression (Dir: Ray Brady). In 2009 Angela became the popular face of the well-known Australian television show 'Queensland's Best Living' for one season before returning to London. A character actor as well as a presenter, Angela will be kept busy in 2011 with roles in the upcoming films Vauxhall Crossed and Out of Control. As well as acting, Angela enjoys writing. She also writes a popular acting blog, runs the UK branch of a cross-Atlantic actor networking programme, and continues to appear in festival award nominated films.
