Dan was born in Colchester, Essex in the United Kingdom. Having excelled at literature and drama at school, Dan obtained a degree in media and film-making. Initially, Dan became a freelance Avid editor working for BBC, Paramount UK, Nickelodeon and Bravo until he made his first 16mm film 'Magician' which was well received by the arts community and enabled him to set up his own production company 'Magician Pictures'. Dan's first projects were a documentary for Anglia Television 'Cult Encounter' and a music magazine program for Meridian TV 'Academy' Since then Dan has made a number of short drama films and worked on a diverse number of media projects, all leading up to his first feature film 'Experiment'. Following the success of Experiment Dan was signed by US Production Company Shoreline Entertainment to direct the feature film adaptation of the best selling novel 'Spanky'.
