Andy Karl is an American actor. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland and moved to New york City at a young age to pursue acting. He made his Broadway debut in Saturday Night Fever where he met his wife Orfeh. Married in 2001, the popular couple resides in Manhattan where they've appeared in stage adaptations of Legally Blonde, The Musical, amongst other shows. In Legally Blonde, they starred as hairdresser Paulette and her hunky UPS man, Kyle. Karl garnered much acclaim originating the role of Luke in the off- Broadway smash hit Altar Boyz. Other off- Broadway credits include Stephen Sondheim's Saturday Night. He also played leading man Adam in Slut, The Musical. In 2006, he briefly joined the Broadway company of The Wedding Singer in a variety of roles before signing on to join the cast of Legally Blonde, The Musical. Karl received a Carbonell Award nomination for Best Actor in a musical for his work in Romeo and Bernadette at the Coconut Grove Theatre in Florida, a role he also recreated at the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey. He performed at the Falcon theater in Los Angeles as "The Fonz" in Garry Marshall's stage adaptation of Happy Days, The Musical. Karl and Orfeh frequently appear onstage together. In addition to Saturday Night Fever and Legally Blonde on Broadway , they've co-starred in Me and Mrs. Jones, starring the late Lou Rawls and Bright Lights, Big City (both at the Prince Music Theater in Philadelphia, PA) and headlined the Atlantic City revue Nights on Broadway II at Caesar's Palace. October 2007 - Karl appeared on MTV in the film version of Legally Blonde, The Musical reprising his role(s) as Kyle/others. Karl portrays "Caleb" in Todd Graff's upcoming feature film "JoyFul Noise" starring Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah. Karl will assume the role of "Tommy DeVito" in Broadway smash Jersey Boys beginning October 11th, 2011.
