Peter's short films have won thirty-eight major festival award s between them culminating in an Oscar nomination for The Saviour in 2007. He also received a BAFTA nomination for his Ladder of Love episode in the television series Lockie Leonard in 2007 and the Inside Film Award for Rising Talent in 2006. He is represented by RGM in Sydney and William Morris Endeavor in Los Angeles.
Peter Templeman attended the 2nd annual HatcH audiovisual festival in Bozeman, MT in October 2005 with his film, "Splintered". HatcH focuses on inspiring and mentoring the next generation of artists and filmmakers. Peter was a Groundbreaker, student filmmakers whose films were accepted and who took part in panels and roundtables at the week-long festival.Peter is the only filmmaker to win the Slamdance Grand Jury Award for Best Short Film two years in a row. First in 2005 with Splintered, then in 2006 with The Saviour, which was nominated for an Oscar at the 2007 Academy Awards.
