Kathryn Beck was born in Queensland, Australia in 1986. She has always wanted to be an actor ever since she was young, and grew up watching films such as "My Girl" and wishing she was in it. She studied drama at the Queensland University of Technology, graduating in August of 2006. In 2007 she had a guest role for a number of episodes in the Australian drama, "Home and Away", where she played the character Lily Nelson. Most recently she appeared in ABC TV's six-part drama series, "East of Everything", playing an endearing optimist by the name of Lizzy, opposite Australian acting heavyweights Tom Long, Gia Carides, Steve Bisley and Richard Roxburgh. In 2007, ignoring her father's pleas to become a drama teacher, she relocated from Brisbane to Sydney to pursue an acting career. She has recently been cast in the Australian film, "Subdivision", co-starring Bryan Brown.
She has one sister and two brothers.Grew up in Wellington Point, Queensland, Australia and attended Alexandra Hills State High School.She was nominated for the award of Best Newcomer in the Sydney Theatre Awards for her performance in Katherine Thomson's play King Tide.She was nominated for AFI award for best guest/newcomer in a television drama, 2009.
It's the last day on earth, twelve hours before a cataclysmic event will end life as we know it. James makes his way across a lawless and chaotic city to the party to end all parties. Along the way, he somewhat reluctantly saves the life of a little girl named Rose who is desperately searching for her father. Stuck with the unexpected burden of responsibility, James is forced to come to terms with what really matters in life as the final hours tick away.
