Ekaterina grew up in Leigh-on-Sea, the eldest of 3 children. She is of mixed European background; her father is of Greek origin and her mother is of English, Irish, French and Russian ancestry. Ekaterina began showing an interest in performing arts from a young age, studying ballet and singing and writing/performing in various plays and productions throughout her school years. Initially deciding to pursue a career as a criminal barrister, Ekaterina studied Law at University College London, whilst showcasing her acting skills in several university theater productions and short films. After completing her law degree, Ekaterina continued with her acting training, taking classes at various institutes including RADA, and has since gained roles in main stream film, most notably Disney's Blockbuster 'John Carter of Mars' alongside Taylor Kitsch and Lynn Collins. Ekaterina has also lent her talents to the voice over industry. An avid writer, Ekaterina has her own blog 'It's All Greek to Me' and has written her first semi-autobiographical book about life in the Greek spotlight.
Named after her Greek Grandmother.Trained as a competitive swimmer and competed in county championships.Won the 'Young Dancer of the Year' award at her local ballet school.Her mother is a ballet teacher and trained at the Royal Academy.Graduated with a Law Degree from University College London.
