From an insatiable appetite to entertain and tell stories, impressions, accents, voices, singing & dancing have been a part of Don Knodel since he could walk & talk. A 1986 graduate from the University of British Columbia with a BA in Film & Television, he was inspired to make a career out of acting and moviemaking at age 6 after watching a Laurel & Hardy short and started at the age of 9 when his best friend found an old 8mm movie camera in his parents' closet. After making 2 dozen short films and performances in over 200 skits, plays and musicals as well as main roles in more than 40 short films & videos, he starred in, wrote, produced and directed 'Man Without A Name', his first feature film. The film was award ed "Best Foreign Feature", "Grand Jury Selection for Best Actor" and nominated as "Best Indie Auteur" at the Bare Bones International Film Festival 2004. Don has worked in the Vancouver Film Industry for over 20 years in almost every capacity from production assistant to assistant director to location manager and production manager for productions mostly from Hollywood. He has written dozens of skits, 14 plays (produced between 1989 to 1996), more than 2 dozen short screenplays, 2 one hour spec scripts for television and 5 feature-length screenplays. Through Iceberg Pictures Inc., he is presently developing several projects for production.
